Menswear outfitter GOODS is highly regarded for its distinct sense of style. With a focus on good craftsmanship and innovative thinking, the store presents a refreshing and contemporary take on classic design and owner Kasper Hostrup attentively considers each item before agreeing to stock it in store. A stone’s throw away from their former basement store, GOODS have remained loyal to the well-heeled and sleepy Østerbro neighbourhood.
A must-visit for the sartorially minded, the GOODS brand is internationally acclaimed and presents a wealth of leading Scandinavian labels such as Norse Projects, Han Kjøbenhavn and Our Legacy as well as pieces of stellar craftsmanship from the likes of Levi’s Vintage, Clarks Originals and Common Projects. With an eye for detail, Kasper seeks to present only the best in modern menswear, resulting in a collection that balances authentic staples such as outwear by Mackintosh, Moscot eyewear and knitwear by SNS Herning, alongside contemporary labels that are heavily influenced by traditional craft. From the everyday to the luxurious, the GOODS assortment of luggage is eye-catching and features Ally Capellino, Filson and Porter.
The space is clean and smart and natural light streams through the front windows. The wooden furniture and contemporary shelving is discreet and allows the garments to dominate while large industrial lighting hangs above a centre table filled with highlights from the seasonal collection. The walls are decorated with a range of retro 1950s label posters, shield marks and nature-inspired illustrations by Danish design studio Arhoj.
GOODS present a finely crafted selection of uncommon items and offers attentive customer service to match. Kasper and his team are on hand to offer advice, friendly knowledge and the inside scoop on Copenhagen's hot spots.
