Swedish based label Our Legacy began in 2005 with a well-fitted capsule T-shirt collection made in Italy. Nine years on, the brand is internationally acclaimed for its menswear collection of modern yet timeless classics. Founded by friends Messrs Christopher Nying and Jockum Hallin, the pair were inspired by the classic garments found in their grandfather's wardrobes and aimed to create clothing that blended together traditional tailoring with contemporary design, suitable for the modern day man.
With a strong emphasis on quality delivered through consistently dynamic collections, Our Legacy's confident and effortless design has created timeless garments that are conservative yet playful and relaxed and the collection has a loyal following both in Stockholm and across the globe.
The Jakobsbergsgatan store was designed in collaboration with architect firm Arrhov Frick and the result is a naturally warm and inviting space, inspired by 'grand office environments in the finance sector and Swedish working-class offices'. Natural materials such as marble, wood, Omberg limestone and steel are used throughout the interior and furnishings include a Theselius chair by Mats Källemo. Each Our Legacy store is designed in harmony with the venue's unique spatial qualities and every branch is stripped back to expose and work with the underlying walls, floors and ceilings.
This organic form of interior design is also mirrored in Our Legacy's use of natural materials and unusual production processes; garments in the White Indigo collection for example, are bleached out until only a hint of the original colour remains.
