Located on Pannierstrasse in Berlin's Neukölln neighbourhood is The Good Store, a secondhand store that's nothing like the general preconceptions of a vintage shop. Founded in June 2014 by Gerda Jünemann whose unerring eye for beauty and impeccable taste resulted in a well-curated selection of menswear, womenswear and accessories.
The atypical vintage store combines high fashion with high street labels allowing customers to find a previously owned gem for any occasion and every budget. The Good Store presents Hermès, Jil Sander, Acne Studios, Isabel Marant, Prada and APC alongside Cos, Topshop, Other Stories, COS and H & M.
From the outside, The Good Store could easily be mistaken as a concept store, it's only on closer inspection you'd discover it's an emporium of used goods. Inside, a poster of the store's insightful motto 'Good things will happen soon' hangs on the wall and mirrors Jünemann's positively which surrounds the store, a simply laid out space filled with a wooden counter, brass rails, plantlife and vases filled with tropical flowers.
The Good Store champions local makers such Jukserei by Chanette Pederson and handmade bags by Almut Coppius and Atelier Alisa Besirevic. Moreover, is The Good Stores in-house gold-plated jewellery line designed Jünemann and handmade in Germany.
If you find yourself in Neukölln be sure to visit Jünemann's secondhand boutique filled with serendipitous goods.
