Window Seat Please Magazine | Karl Hab | Paris (FRA) | By Lee Fleming

I recently came across Paris-based photographer Karl Hab's Tumblr and was pleased to find his recent self-published magazine "Window Seat Please" is now available. The 44-page magazine is a visual exploration of a decade of travelling, documenting Hab's various nomadic journeys to bustling metropolises such as Hong Kong, Tokyo, London and Los Angeles. Alongside his travel photography Hab is also the house photographer for Parisian store Colette as well as contributing to several magazines including Sneeze Magazine, Obscura Magazine and Hypebeast Magazine.

Icelandic Landscapes | Mikael Axelsson | Reykjavik (ISL) | By Michael Gannon

Stockholm-based photographer and good friend of IDMC° Mikael Axelsson sent me a few photographs of his recent family trip to Iceland. Armed with a Canon 5d Mk3 and a Land Rover, Mikael explored Reykjavik, Selfoss and Flateyri over a 4 day period to capture the illimitable Icelandic landscapes.

Samuel Zeller | Geneva Botanical Garden | Geneva (CH) | By Lee Fleming

'Botanical' is a photography series by Geneva-based graphic designer and photographer Samuel Zeller. Having studied Graphic Design & Interactive media design at the CFPAA of Geneva, Samuel moved to photography alongside working since in various design agencies creating retail spaces, editorial design and 3D visualisations for international brands. The 'Botanical' series features a photographic interpretation of classical botanical illustrations from the 18th to 20th Century, taken at the botanical gardens in Geneva, Switzerland. Featuring a mix of botanical such as palm trees (Arecaceae Palmae), Christ (Euphorbia milii) and Banana plants (Genus Musa), the photography captures the serenity and quietness found in such surroundings.

Ace Hotel has added Pittsburgh to its eclectic hotel portfolio along with Seattle, Portland and New York City. The Portland-based hotelier's latest addition on Whitfield Street resides in a century-old former YMCA building in the heart of the city’s culturally diverse East Liberty neighborhood.

The 63 room hotel features an Art Deco interior which includes design features such as limited edition Pendleton quilts, Tivoli Radio, Music Hall turntables and acoustic Martin guitars.

Yanina Shevchenko | Crossing Over | (RUS) | By Lee Fleming

Crossing Over is a photographic diary by photographer Yanina Shevchenko of her trip across Russia on the Trans-Siberian railway, an epic route that covers China (Beijing,Erlian), Mongolia (Ultan Bator) and Russia (Ulan-Ude, Irkutsk, Lake Baikal, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, Kazan and Moscow). Russian-Born photographer Shevchenko is currently based in Barcelona, Spain. Having graduated from Goldsmiths, University or London and studied at Moscow Academy of Photography and the International Center of Photography in New York, Shevchenko's previously worked in New York, Moscow, Buenos Aires and London. The project utilises the Trans-Siberian train journey as a means of personal exploration, crossing the extensive landscape and cultural changes along the way.
