When we are somewhere, we often focus on an aesthetic, the visual presence of an experience is at the forefront, but are we possibly under appreciating the sound that surrounds us. With each independent we visit on our journey, we find sound makes each experience unique, memorable and is often the case for re-visiting such places.This is a concept we are very keen to highlight and explore, to identify a sound that suits a surrounding which aids to curate a pleasurable experience. We believe a true sample of an independent can be captured by a playlist, a curation of sounds. Our playlist series commences with Liverpool coffee enthusiasts Duke Street Espresso, compiled by head barista Gareth Jones, mellow tones offers an ideal all day hideout.
