Crafted from a lightweight 8oz cotton twill, the M.01 jacket is the type of outerwear that’s durable and can withstand strenuous movement and adverse conditions. Founded in 2006 and expanded in 2011, Cotton Love is an independent label that focuses on quality and craftsmanship, fabric and function§ as well as good design. A modern farm: Westwind Orchard | New York (USA)

The Westwind Orchard, first planted by Chester Khon in the 1930s, is a 32-acre apple orchard farm in the Hudson River Valley owned by partners Laura Ferrara and Fabio Chizzola. Inspired by apple growing, the fashion editor/stylist and photographer-turned-farmers have dramatically renovated the farmhouse over the last eight years to create 'a vision of a local farming future for our region'. The farm grows pears, raspberries, garlic, grapes and squash and also houses a flock of chickens, honey beehives and maple trees. The interior of the farmhouse is a delicate blend of traditional and contemporary design and neatly reflects the couple’s unconventional yet sophisticated taste. The rustic dark wood that lines the floors and walls is offset by soft furnishings including quilts, long pile carpets and custom-made furniture to create a warm yet rustic space.

Freunde Von Freunden x Vitra Apartment | Berlin (GER)

Berlin-based loose-leaf tea specialist Paper & Tea, recently became part of a collaborative project between Freunde von Freunden and Swiss manufacturer Vitra. The first of its kind, the Freunde von Freunden 'apartment' offers a glimpse into how a creative, mobile and digitally oriented generation lives and the space has been rebuilt and designed with the diverse and often unexpected scenarios of everyday life in mind.

The 65sqm Altbau apartment on Mulackstrasse acts as a platform to showcase the work of Freunde von Freunden's friends and partners. Paper & Tea loose-leaf tea sits alongside kitchen fittings by Dornbracht, porcelain from KPM Berlin and beauty products from Aesop. The space will also host events and presentations. 

KUT Knives | New York (USA)

Master knife and tool maker KUT Master have crafted high quality pocket knives and multi-purpose tools since 1910. During World War II, the company manufactured bayonets and carbine parts and earned its umbrella company Utica, the coveted Army-Navy E., as well as a number of other awards. The KUT friction-folding knife is handcrafted from a variety of woods including cherry, maple and olivewood and features a hand forged, carbon steel Svörd blade made in New Zealand.

Writers Shed by Weston, Surman & Deane | London (UK)

The bottom of a garden can be a mysterious place for children and when asked to create a 'writer's shed' for an author and illustrator passionate about children's literature and mythologies, that's exactly where London-based studio Weston, Surman & Deane began.

The space, a haven in the midst of the busy city and a fairy-tale cavern at the bottom of the garden, is a place where a writer can escape to relax, think and work. Externally the facade is created from cedar and shingle cladding and also features a log store and chimney; inside large north-facing skylights flood the workspace with natural light. Weston, Surman & Deane also fitted an impressive bookcase around the wood burning stove for the client to store his extensive library.
