Lambswool Tuck Stitch Crew Neck Jumper by S.E.H. Kelly | London (UK)

With the crisp autumn morning’s becoming a regular occurrence, we are looking to layers to see us through the colder months. Devoting to a substantial piece of knitwear is wise in our eyes; a mid-layer that is made from authentic fabrics will shelter and keep you warm to a thermonuclear level. The Crew Neck Jumper by S.E.H. Kelly is an article has the IDMC° seal of approval and deserves consideration, this lambswool jumper is made from four shades of luxury lambswool, three greys and one biscuit for a beautiful Autumnal colouring. Knitted into a heavyweight tuck stitch by a British hand-loomed knitwear maker, founded over 100 years ago.

The Lambswool Tuck Stitch Crew Neck Jumper is ten ply (ten stitches to the inch) which in everyday speak offers preposterous thickness: folded, the jumper is the same height as four cord shirts. Exceptional thickness, however, does mean a sacrifice in comfort, being made by the most luxurious lambswool means incomparable comfort. A tightly knitted construction of traditional manner means the yarn strands are folded over one another in a dense interlocking weave, while the neck, cuff and hem are rib stitched as to hold shape. A favourite detail to note is the in-seam slouch pockets, lined with plain-stitch charcoal lambswool and fastened by a simple button-loop fastening. Thoughtfully considered and traditionally crafted, this hand knitted jumper is as close to one of those predecessors your grand-mother made you; slow going, time taken but the result is reflected in the time skill and effort taken. Also available in Navy-Blue and Grey Tuck Stitch Lambswool at S.E.H. Kelly
