A journey North | Clachan (SCO) | By Michael Gannon

I’m spending some time in the far reaches of Scotland, predominantly Clachan, on the west coast. I’ll also be travelling around the ‘skye’ area, photographing the landscape and the people who live around there. Above are several photographs from my journey to Clachan so far and will be available on the IDMC° shop soon.

I’m also pleased to announce after returning from our Scotland visit we will be travelling to Argentina to begin our next IDMC° map of Buenos Aires.

Moscow Metro | Tomer Ifrah | Moscow (RUS) | By Lee Fleming

While travelling on our research trips the IDMC° team are regularly utilise a cities transport system and are always intrigued how each differ. Hence our attraction to Tomer Ifrah's documentary photography of the Moscow metro. Irsael-born Ifrah began photographing documentary stories in 2007, after his first trip to Ethiopia and has continued to focus on documentary photography and addressing social issues and daily life stories. Taken between 2012 and 2014, Ifrah made several trips to Russia documenting Moscow’s metro stations which features stunning lighting, Moscow's style of dress and post-Soviet symbols everywhere. It's an original perspective of daily life in Moscow that we haven't been fortunate enough to see for ourselves, yet.

Stacked | Malte Brandenburg | Berlin (GER) | By Lee Fleming

We recently came across the portfolio of self-taught photographer Malte Brandenburg who is also co-founder of arts collective Copenhagen Format. Copenhagen-based Brandenburg previously lived in Berlin where he completed 'Stacked', a visual documentation of post-war housing estates in Berlin. Often built in form of tower blocks and in a fairly identical fashion, Brandenburg's Stacked photography series looks closer at these affordable housing structures to find variation of sorts.
